  • Gato

    Gone too soon.

There never seems enough time to prepare our hearts to say “goodbye” to those we love. We hold them in our hearts forever.

  • Cole

    Forever & Always

We adopted Cole at 9 years old. Although our time with him was cut short, we are grateful for the amazing year we got to spend with him. He brought us so much joy and I’m so glad he got to spend his last year living so much better than he was previously. He was so goofy and quirky. He loved carrots, going on walks, looking out the window, “howling” when the sirens went off, his squeaky toys, ripping up paper items around the house and rubbing his nose on all of our pillows. We will miss him so much, but he will always live in our hearts.

    Conway Family

  • Oscar & Delilah

    Together again forever.

I think it was love at first sight. When Oscar saw “Miss D” he wasn’t sure what to think of this beautiful snow-white girl. Delilah thought Oscar was one-handsome-man so she didn’t hesitate to make the first move. She flirted and it was all over. It was a match that was perfect. Whenever they got together there was flirtation and canoodling and they just loved being together. Opposites do attract.

  • Delilah

    “Miss D”

I know we all say our dog is the best dog, and Delilah really was the best! She was my first dog on my own, and a truly amazing friend and companion. Even though I had Delilah for a short 5 years, we packed a lot into that time. D and I went through the training to be a therapy dog team. She LOVED it. We volunteered at the airport, nursing homes and schools. She was meant to bring joy to people. Her other favorite was long walks every day around the neighborhood saying hi to all the neighbors. 5 years was not long enough to be with her, we truly had a bond that I have never had with another animal. I will miss her dearly. Run free sweet Delilah...until we meet again.

  • Oscar

    “My handsome man!”

What’s not to love about a black dog? Especially when they follow you constantly and stare at you with loving big brown eyes. He always had me in his line of sight. Oscar was my handsome man, my shadow and my best cuddler. When laying on the sofa, he was always next to me with his head on my shoulder - that was his spot. He had so much to say with his “gator chomp” that let us know he was so happy. So sweet and gentle, not many knew him since he had stranger danger. If you were one of the lucky few in his life, you got to see the loving silly boy, who had such a zest for life.

  • ShadowBoy

Gone, but forever in my heart.

While I didn’t have you long, as I adopted you when you were 10. Your smile, eyes and loving personality couldn’t be duplicated. You opened my eyes that Senior dogs have so much joy and love to give. It may sound cliché but you truly rescued me and I miss you everyday!

  • Malcom

So much love in such a tiny body!

    Love you forever -Natasha

My beautiful, loving, loyal and oh so handsome brindle boy. I swear he would do anything for his mommy! He was an amazing big brother to many fosters that came into our home.  Malcom’s very favorite activity was getting belly rubs!  Love and miss you so much baby boy!

  • Cora

Her name was Cora and she was such a sweet girl. She was just 5 when she passed. She had a sarcoma of sorts that went rampant through her body in a very short time. This was a great loss for her mom, that Cora got her wings way too early in life.

Her mom donated some very lovely items in memory of her so that other animals would benefit from their use. Thank you Elizabeth Monarski, may the sweet memories you have of this beautiful girl, carry you through difficult times.

  • Penny

Loved by many, petted by few. Love, Darius, Shannon, and Heather

Penny was the sweetest girl with those she trusted. She was adopted by Shawn & Andy as an adult and initially, was a very fearful dog. After years of working with her, she learned to trust and love a small circle of family and friends. Penny also welcomed many foster dogs into her home. She loved her buddy Simba and our dog, Darius, who was one of the fosters who lived with her until we adopted him. I was honored when she finally let me pet her regularly a few years ago. Penny was dearly loved and missed by us all.

  • Alli-Gator

I’ll love you forever, my baby you’ll be.

The sweetest little girl in the world. She was my baby. Alli would have the classic beagle bay every time the civil defense siren sounded. She would sing until it stopped. Alli always loved curling up on the sofa behind my knees which was named the “Beagle Bunker”. She slept in bed and loved snuggling under the covers. It was a joy to see her still love to play and get the zoomies even at the age of 12. Born on December 25th, made that the best Christmas gift ever. That day will always have a special meaning.
